Guy, a native of Adams, Massachusetts, now lives with his family in Concord, NC.  He began painting in 1978 when he attended a night class at the local communit college in Richmond, Virginia.  Drawing on such influences as Thomas Hart Benton, Max Beckman, and Pablo Picasso, Guy creates wildly imaginative narratives populated with cubist critters, tempestuous teapots, and flying monkeys, while also telling timeless tales of the human condition.  His paintings may be seen at Green Goat Gallery in Spencer.  (Thanks to Anne Waters of Green Goat Gallery for the bibliography on Guy Raymond and to Carolyn Kirkman for inviting him to speak to us.)
