Colleen Walton, a life long resident of Salisbury, North Carolina, began painting seriously after retirement from teaching.  She has taken workshops from Tom Jones, Marietta Smith, Betty Watson, and Frank Saunders. Although she has done some work in acrylics, she primarily paints with watercolor. Colleen has won awards for her paintings at the Carolina Art Expo and the Rowan County Silver Arts Shows. In addition to being a member of Carolina Artist, Colleen is a member of  a small group of local artists called the “The Art Gang.”  Her work can be found in private collections throughout North Carolina and surrounding states.  Contact Colleen Walton
