Doris Trexler lives in Granite Quarry, North Carolina.  Her painting experiences began as a hobby and over the years painting has become  a passion.  To capture the beauty of God’s creation around her is a challenge she enjoys.  Landscapes, seascapes and still life paintings are her favorite subjects.  Her preferred medium is acrylic but she has also painted with oils and watercolor. 

 Doris is actively involved in the Carolina Artists since 2005 and served as treasurer 2008 – 2010.  She is a member of three local art groups -  The Art Gang, The Monday Rembrandts, and Plein Air Carolina. 

 She has  taken art courses at Rowan Cabarrus Community College and SurryCommunity College.  Doris has attended numerous art conferences and workshops.    She has received awards at the Carolina Artists Expo and  Senior Games at the local and state levels.  Her art has been featured in the SalisburyPost and numerous art shows.
